Returns and Refund Policy

This Returns and Refunds Policy applies to all digital products (downloadable PDFs) and services (destination recommendations, personalized itinerary planning, and complete travel booking concierge services) offered by Betty Abroad (“we,” “us,” or “our”) through our website, www.bettyabroad.com.
1. Digital Products (Downloadable PDFs):
Due to the digital nature of our downloadable PDF products, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds or returns on digital products once they have been purchased and accessed.
- Reasoning: Digital products are considered “used” once downloaded, as the customer has immediate access to the content. This is standard practice for digital product sales.
- Technical Issues: If you experience technical difficulties downloading or accessing your purchased PDF, please contact us at support@bettyabroad.com within two (2) days of purchase. We will make every effort to resolve the issue, such as providing a new download link. However, this does not constitute a refund or return.
2. Services:
A. Free Destination Recommendations List (Complimentary):
This is a complimentary service provided as a general resource. As it is offered free of charge, there are no refunds or returns. This list provides general destination suggestions tailored to initial preferences provided by the user. It is not an exhaustive or fully detailed travel plan.
B. Personalized Travel Itinerary Planning:
- Payment and Process: Full payment for personalized travel itinerary planning services is required upfront before work begins. You can complete your purchase using the various secure payment options offered at checkout, which are powered by WooCommerce’s payment gateway integrations.
- Scope of Service: This service provides a tailored daily schedule of activities, sights, and dining recommendations for a specific destination based on the information and preferences you provide. It includes vendor/activity recommendations and practical travel tips. It does not include booking of flights, accommodations, or reservations.
- Revisions: We offer two revisions to the initial itinerary based on your feedback. After these revisions, further changes may be subject to additional fees, which will be discussed and agreed upon in advance.
- Cancellation: If you cancel the itinerary planning service before work has begun, you will receive a full refund. Once work has commenced on the itinerary, no refunds will be issued.
- No Guarantee of Specific Outcomes: While we strive to create itineraries that meet your needs and preferences based on the information provided, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes, such as availability of vendors, changes in operating hours, or other factors outside of our control. Therefore, refunds are not issued based on subjective dissatisfaction with the itinerary, provided the itinerary is consistent with the information and preferences you originally provided.
C. Complete Travel Booking Concierge Services:
- Payment and Process: A non-refundable service fee, determined and agreed upon in advance, is required to initiate the Complete Travel Booking Concierge Service. This fee covers our planning, coordination, and support services. Clients are responsible for all direct costs associated with their travel bookings (flights, accommodations, activities, etc.). Clients must provide a pre-authorized payment method (e.g., credit card on file) to cover these expenses. We will provide estimated costs before any bookings are made.
- Scope of Service: This service provides end-to-end travel guidance, including researching potential flights, accommodations, activities, and transport options based on your preferences and budget. We will present these options to you for your approval. We do not make bookings on your behalf.
- Client Responsibility for Bookings and Changes: Clients are solely responsible for making all bookings directly with third-party vendors (airlines, hotels, activity providers, etc.) using their pre-authorized payment method. All booking confirmations, changes, and cancellations are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective service providers. We are not responsible for any fees, penalties, or losses incurred due to changes or cancellations made by the client or the service provider. For example, if a hotel has a non-cancellation policy, we cannot override that policy. Similarly, if there is a 48-hour cancellation policy for an activity, we cannot make changes outside of that window.
- Payment for Expenses: The required payment due date for travel expenses is contingent upon the nature of the travel arrangements. Specific payment terms, including the applicable due date, will be detailed on each invoice, which will be provided promptly following client confirmation of the booking.
- Cancellation: The non-refundable service fee is not refundable under any circumstances.
3. Force Majeure:
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under this policy to the extent that such failure or delay is caused by a Force Majeure Event. A “Force Majeure Event” means any event beyond a party’s reasonable control, which by its nature could not have been foreseen, or, if foreseen, was unavoidable, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargos, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, or materials. If a Force Majeure Event occurs, the affected party shall promptly notify the other party and shall use reasonable efforts to mitigate the effects of the Force Majeure Event.
4. Dispute Resolution:
Any dispute arising under or related to this policy shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration in Houston, Texas, administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding on both parties. The prevailing party in any arbitration shall be entitled to recover its reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs.
5. General Provisions:
Changes to this Policy: We reserve the right to modify this Returns and Refunds Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
No Exceptions: Our no-refund policy for digital products and the limited refund policies for services are strictly enforced, except as specifically outlined in this policy.
